Though in round shape, the braided cotton cord could be in different appearance depending on the tightness and braided way. The weight and strength of it may vary too. Solid Braided Cotton Cord
Solid braided cotton cord made by Maysun, size varies 3mm to 20mm. The cord is made with filler in the core. The fillers are for making the cord rounded and solid. The material of the fillers could be cotton, polyester or other fibers. For Maysun braided cords, the filler is also what makes our product very distinctive, instead of polyester, we use the same recycled cotton to fill the inside, so you can also pull it out and create a beautiful fringe. As garment accessories, we would cut and install the cord ends with aglets to use as drawstring cords or as shoelaces.

The hollow braided cotton cord, however, is braided naturally by several strands of the cotton fibers that without any filler inside. They are usually quite soft in shape and can easily folded and cut, thus making it a perfect material for wrapping and perfect for all your sewing and craft needs. Ideal for use as a drawstring in garments and bags.

Q: Do you have more colors/sizes?
A: Yes! We're not able to display all our color card and the items here, so please contact us marketing@maysunch.com for more details. The braided cotton cords we produce are varied in sizes/colors/shapes/structures. You may require a physical color chart from us if needed.
Q: How is the cotton cord dyed?
A: We have two ways to get the colorful cotton cord:
A: Cotton cords made of recycled cotton fabrics from the garment industry. We choose similar color garments; we break down the fabric to cotton fiber again and then spin the fiber to great the cotton thread. With this manufacturing process, we can reduce water usage in half and reduce very significantly the CO2 emissions.
B: We do post-dyed on the ready-made cotton cords. The natural color of the cotton cords could be perfectly dyed. We would make the matched specification of cotton cords first and then send them to the dyeing factory to get the dyed colors.
Both methods can get the colorful braided cotton cords with good color fastness.
