1. Check the rope before use
Ropes with scars or kinks may break during use, so they must be checked before use. If there are kinks, they must be restored.
2. Do not dirty the rope
Dirty is the main cause of rope deterioration and will also reduce its strength. In the wild, do not place the rope directly on the ground, and be careful not to let oil stains adhere to the rope. In addition, be sure to remove the dirt on the rope after use.
3. Do not step on the rope
Ropes are often scratched or deteriorated by being stepped on. In addition, if small stones run into the inside of the rope, there may be a risk of breaking when carrying weight. Especially in the mountains in winter, if the anti-slip iron spikes on the shoes step on it, it can no longer be used. When climbing, you often step on the climbing rope unknowingly, so please pay more attention to this.
4. Do not let the rope touch sharp objects
When the rope touches sharp objects such as rock edges and bears a heavy load at the same time, the risk of the rope breaking increases. Now, safety guidelines have been formulated for climbing ropes. In this case, it is absolutely forbidden to use climbing ropes or ropes. If it is really necessary to use it, it needs to be protected with a towel to avoid direct contact with sharp objects.
5. Do not suddenly add weight to the rope
Doing so will cause scars on the rope. Even if it is not visible on the surface, it may have broken inside. Therefore, you need to be careful not to let the rope bear too much load.
6. Do not lend the rope to others
There is nothing more dangerous than not knowing what rope it has been used in. Because if you use a rope that has been subjected to sudden weight without knowing it, the rope may break. Therefore, absolutely avoid borrowing ropes that have been used before from others, or lending your own ropes to others.
7. Do not use such ropes
Ropes can be said to be consumables. It does not mean that you can use them for life after buying one. If you use a rope with scratches, an accident will happen one day. You must check it regularly and replace it with a new rope immediately if you find any scratches. In addition to replacing ropes with scratches, cuts or wear, ropes that have been overused for more than two years must also be replaced. Even if they have no obvious scratches, they are already quite old. In addition, ropes that have been subjected to sudden weight, such as: climbing ropes that have been used as support for people who fell while climbing, etc., must never be used again.
